Prep Baseball: Jays frosh win title

WARDSVILLE, Mo. - The Jefferson City Jays captured the title at the Blair Oaks Freshman Tournament on Saturday.

Jefferson City blanked Centralia 13-0 in its first game as Brandon Williams went the distance on the mound, He allowed one hit and struck out three.

Gunner See, Jacob Wyrick, Grant Wood and Williams had two hits each.

Jefferson City then topped Blair Oaks 10-0 as Wyrick tossed a one-hitter and struck out three.

See had two hits for the Jays (22-2).

Thomas Verslues had the only hit for Blair Oaks.

Kade Franks received the loss, allowing nine runs on four hits, while walking four and striking out two.

The Falcons (14-5) will play at Southern Boone on Monday.
