Calvary splits a pair

The Calvary Lutheran Lions rolled to a 19-5 win in six innings at Prairie Home on Tuesday.

Bradley MacLaughlin was 3-for-5 and drove in five runs, while Wyatt Archer was 3-for-3 with three RBI to lead Calvary at the plate. Beau Monson and Tristan Clementich were both 2-for-3 with an RBI, while Caleb Propst drew three walks and drove in two runs to help pace the Lions.

Propst allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits, while striking out seven in four innings. MacLaughlin surrendered three runs (no earned) on two hits, while striking out five in two innings.

Calvary suffered a 5-4 loss in nine innings at Newburg on Monday.

Propst was 2-for-5 with a home run and drove in four runs, while Archer added two hits to lead the Lions, offensively.

Archer allowed four runs (three earned) on four hits, while striking out two in four innings.

Hance Sommerer received the loss after allowing one run on one hit in four innings.

Calvary (8-4) will play at Vienna today.
