Borney plays in Scout Bowl

Former Lincoln wide receiver Andre Borney was selected to play in the International Scout Bowl in New York on April 5.

Organized by the Collegiate Development Football League, the International Scout Bowl was developed by former National Football League players to provide college seniors and prospective free agents one final opportunity to be scouted prior to the NFL Draft.

In this year's game, the fifth installment of the bowl, Borney helped the White Team to a 26-16 victory against the Blue Team. Borney caught a 40-yard touchdown pass late in the second quarter to put the White team ahead for good. Bourney ended up leading his squad with four receptions for 97 yards and a score.

During his senior season at Lincoln this past fall, Borney finished second among the Blue Tigers with 39 receptions for 437 yards and led the Lincoln receiving corps with six touchdowns.
