Man faces charge of selling heroin

A Jefferson City man is charged with selling heroin in the Capital City.

As of Monday afternoon, Wayne Bush, 21, of 2123 Lewis Drive, was being held on $250,000 bond in the Cole County Jail.

Authorities said between Feb. 1 and this past weekend, a confidential informant conducted a sale of suspected heroin from Bush that was recorded by audio and video recorders.

Bush is considered a persistent/prior drug offender since he was convicted of distribution of a controlled substance on Feb. 22, 2010.

He is currently on five years probation for distribution of a controlled substance and seven years for illegal possession of a firearm.
