Helias edges Camdenton

CAMDENTON - Will Blankenship stole home in the top of the seventh inning to provide the game-winner Monday as the Helias Crusaders topped the Camdenton Lakers 3-2.

Andy Devine was the winner in relief, working the final 12/3 innings. He allowed one hit and struck out one. Austin Sachse was the starter, going 51/3 innings He allowed two runs (none earned) on three hits and two walks while striking out five,

Alex Barton had two hits, drove in a run and scored another for Helias. Brock Gertstner also had an RBI.

Helias is back in action in its home opener Wednesday against Hickman at 5 p.m. at the American Legion Post 5 Sports Complex.

In Monday's junior varsity game, Ryan Graessle tossed a one-hitter in going the distance in Helias' 11-0 victory in five innings. Graessle struck out eight.
