WESTPHALIA, Mo. - A big day by Logan Vogel propelled the Fatima Comets to a 14-4 win against California in five innings Friday.
Vogel went 5-for-5 at the plate, including a home run, and drove in four runs. On the mound, he got the win by throwing a seven-hitter and striking out seven. All four runs were earned and he walked two.
Also for the Comets, Sam Hagar had two hits and two RBI, Matt Temmen had two hits and one RBI and Hunter Hennier smacked a grand slam home run.
Fatima (4-0) travels to St. Francis Borgia today.
