Your Opinion: Un-elected Supreme Court abuses power

I am always amazed at how ignorant the elite academics in our government, the media and our legal system think conservative Americans are.

I wonder what the British government thought about the common farmers and businessmen who got fed up with the oppression of freedom before they got their butt kicked.

I know it is hard for intellectuals to accept the fact that us common hard working, and/or retired patriotic Americans who have never practiced before the Supreme Court are not ignorant. As a matter of fact, no one can ever convince me that the elite super educated, liberal college indoctrinated can hold a candle to any responsible hard working American when it comes to a logical thought process required for survival and maintenance of freedom!

Mr. Wallemann, as much as it may surprise you, I would guess that virtually no one who supports the Tea Party movement has any doubt about the purpose of the Supreme Court (Re: Article III of the Constitution). And I would guess also that anyone who supports the Tea Party movement would agree that the Supreme Court has, with the help of members of the liberal Bar Association, deteriorated to not just another ideologically divided legislative body, but one that can have ultimate power over our lives by the vote of one un-elected person.

When a Supreme Court justice (Ginsburg) would like to use foreign law in decisions and tells Egypt "I would not look to the U.S. Constitution, if I were drafting a constitution in the year 2012" they need to be replaced. Or how about Justice Roberts being the deciding vote on the constitutionality of Obamacare (The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act) by a convoluted ruling that a required purchase of a product (insurance) by the government is a tax? Who with any intelligence can believe that this poorly conceived decision was not made in order to protect the reputation of Obama and the Democrat party and thereby causing havoc in our medical care that we all must endure for the rest of our lives.

It's difficult to believe that you cannot or will not see the problem with an un-elected, politically appointed (based on ideology and/or diversity in lieu of qualifications) people with lifetime positions such as Justices Ginsburg and Roberts being allowed to continue to make and/or support questionable decisions that so heavily affect us and our descendant's lives.
