Thomas Jefferson/Lewis and Clark compete in cross country

Lewis and Clark and Thomas Jefferson competed in a meet Thursday.

Thomas Jefferson won the eighth-grade boys meet while Lewis and Clark took the girls meet.

The top five finishers on the boys side were: Cole Biesmeyer (TJ, first, 9:42), Nathan Erickson (TJ, second, 9:54), Tucker Cox (LC, third, 10:01), Tanner Haugen (LC, fourth, 10:07) and Max Allen (LC, fifth 10:08).

Lewis and Clark's Kenzie Gourley won the girls meet by more than a minute, coming in with a time of 9:58. The other top five finishers on the girls side were Katie Ruth (LC, second, 11:10), Syleste Martinez (LC, third, 11:10), Lily Tharp (TJ, fourth, 11:44) and Laura Sherwood (TJ, fifth, 11:53).

Thomas Jefferson won the boy and girls title in the sixth/seventh-grade meet.

The top five finishers on the boys side were Landon Dunlap (TJ, first, 9:27), Ben Krause (LC, second, 9:43), Isaac Sochinski (TJ, third, 10:03), Thomas Nield (TJ, third, 10:16) and Jack Lear (TJ, fifth, 10:36).

The top five girls finishers were Lauren Tuck (TJ, first, 11:12), Emma Brondel (LC, second, 11:28), Trinity Pendleton (TJ, third, 12:54), Mira Ganghi (TJ 12:58) and Marshi Baird (LC, fifth, 12:13).
