Good finishes for Jays, Lady Jays at Invitational

HAZELWOOD, Mo. - It wasn't a bad day for Jefferson City. In fact, it was pretty darn good.

The Lady Jays took second in the 18-team Hazelwood Central Invitational, while the Jays placed third in a 20-team field.

The Lady Jays finished with 71 points, finishing just behind team-title winner St. Teresa's Academy, which came in with 51 points.

Emily Deeken (third, 20:35), Lindsey Biesemeyer (fifth, 21:01.10) and Tori Bonnot (13th, 21:32.40) all earned top-15 finishes for Jefferson City.

The Jays took third with 146 points, well behind second-place Potosi (83) and winner Lafayette (34).

Eli Jacobs represented Jefferson City's only top-15 finisher, taking 13th in a time of 17:45.40.
