Man gets prison for drug plea

A Jefferson City man was sentenced to seven years in prison for pleading guilty to charges after being taken into custody after a drug search in Cole County in February.

Walter Carlson, 26, of 4213 Crim Court, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Probable cause statements show authorities seized several resealable bags with drugs, including crystal meth at the residence.

Surveillance equipment which monitored the rear exterior of the residence and the residence's living room were seized.
