Westminster falls to Hendrix

CONWAY, Ark. - The Westminster Blue Jays lost to a team playing its first football game in 53 years, falling 46-44 to Hendrix College on Saturday.

The Warriors posted the win by kicking a 25-yard field goal with one second remaining.

Mike Washington (Jefferson City High School) tied for the Westminster team lead with three catches, racking up 50 yards, including a 17-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter. He also had a 13-yard kickoff return.

C.J. Vaughan (Jefferson City High School) had six total tackles, including one for loss, and had three kickoff returns covering 60 yards for Westminster.

Jeremy Hill (Southern Boone High School) added one solo and two assisted tackles for the Blue Jays, Bret Robertson (California High School) had one solo tackle and Austin Kempker (Blair Oaks High School) had one assisted tackle.
