A Fulton man is facing multiple charges after a high speed chase with authorities in Cole County, Tuesday night.

Court records show Shane Vandelicht, 21, is charged with possession of methamphetamine, careless and imprudent driving, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, resisting a lawful stop, driving while revoked and two counts of failure to obey a traffic control device.

According to Cole County Sheriff's Department reports, at approximately 9:30 p.m. the Jefferson City Police Department terminated a pursuit of a motorcycle that had been traveling in excess of 100 mph while going south on Missouri Boulevard.

Moments later, sheriff's deputies got into a pursuit with the same motorcycle going westbound on U.S. 54. The motorcycle reached a speed of 130 mph and the pursuit was terminated.

After the pursuit was terminated, deputies saw the motorcycle turning onto Quail Road and where it eventually wrecked.

While turning onto the same road, a sheriff's patrol car slid off the road causing damage to the vehicle.

Vandelicht, who was eventually identified as the driver of the motorcycle, tried to run, but was apprehended.

Vandelicht was transported to the Cole County Jail with a total bond of $23,400 dollars.
