WAYNESVILLE - The Helias Lady Crusaders took third place in Saturday's Waynesville Freshman Volleyball Tournament.
The Lady Crusaders won their pool, beating Waynesville (25-10, 25-5) and Fatima (25-16, 25-21) and losing to Buffalo (26-24, 26-24).
Helias won its quarterfinal against Rolla 25-18, 25-19. Jefferson City then beat Helias 18-25, 25-21, 25-21 in the semifinals.
The Lady Crusaders bounced back to beat Fatima 25-20, 25-13 in the third-place match.
Abby Shepard had 13 aces and 55 assists in the tournament, Maddie Neuner had 26 kills and eight blocks, and Laura Vanderfeltz had 62 digs.
