RUSSELLVILLE, Mo. - The New Bloomfield Lady Wildcats got another upset win, this one the one they really wanted.
Two days after upsetting second-seeded Russellville in the semifinals, the third-seeded Lady Wildcats won the Class 2 District 13 title Saturday by beating top-seeded Fatima 3-1.
New Bloomfield plated all three of its runs in the third inning off of Fatima starting pitcher Leah Kesel.
Bethany Craighead led the Lady Wildcats on offense with two hits and one RBI, Mykaela Bonnett had a double and one RBI and Abby Haas had one hit and one RBI.
Michelle Barnhart had a double and the only RBI for the Lady Comets, who end the season at 14-9.
New Bloomfield (13-12) will host Lafayette in a sectional game Wednesday.
