Just after the opening of Sze Chuan Restaurant, yet another Chinese restaurant has opened in Jefferson City.
China King, 3720 W. Truman Blvd., is celebrating its grand opening after recently starting across from Hy-Vee on Truman Boulevard.
Whether China King will dethrone any of their fellow Chinese competitors is yet to be seen. It's most direct competition could be from across the street, where Hy-Vee operates its own in-store restaurant that offers Chinese, in addition to Italian and a salad bar.
China King offers dine-in or carry-out service, but we don't know much else about the business, as they declined our interview request.
