A Stover man accused of killing another man in Morgan County in July 2010 will be sentenced later this month after a jury found him guilty of involuntary manslaughter.
James Wager, 61, was also found guilty of armed criminal action.
He had been charged with first-degree murder in the death of Nathan Walker, 39, Ivy Bend.
According to a Morgan County Sheriff's Department probable cause statement filed with the charge, Wager drove to the Walker residence and, when Walker approached Wager 's vehicle, the two men exchanged words.
When Walker reportedly reached for a gun lying on the front seat, Wager grabbed it first and fired once.
Deputies said later that Wager told them there had been "bad blood" between the two men, because Wager suspected Walker of burglarizing his home and the homes of several friends.
