MOKANE - Cory Hanger's big night pushed South Callaway into the Class 2 District 6 title game.

Hanger scored five touchdowns as second-seeded South Callaway eased past third-seeded Montgomery County 42-7 on Wednesday night.

South Callaway (10-1) will travel to Wardsville for a district title game with top-seeded Blair Oaks (10-1) at 7 p.m. Monday.

After falling behind 7-0, the Bulldogs scored the game's final 42 points.

Tied at 7 after one quarter, South Callaway led 14-7 at halftime and 21-7 after three quarters before pulling away with 21 points in the final period.

Hanger accomplished a hat trick of sorts, scoring three rushing touchdowns, a receiving touchdown and returning a kickoff 85 yards for a score.

Cameron Roll added South Callaway's other touchdown on the ground.

The Bulldogs racked up 249 rushing yards, led by Hanger's 74 and Garner Rudroff's 72. Hanger added 57 of South Callaway's 87 receiving yards.

Montgomery County (9-2) managed just 132 total yards.

South Callaway and Blair Oaks met in last season's district championship contest with the Falcons picking up a 49-21 victory en route to a spot in the state title game.
