Blair Oaks brings its firepower Saturday.
After not competing in any finals Friday, Blair Oaks has a legitimate shot to receive three all-state performances today.
• Jessica Clark is the second seed in the Class 3 pole vault, which begins at 11 a.m.
• John Karsten is the fourth seed in the discus, which starts at 2 p.m.
• Amy Dorge is the fifth seed in the discus, which begins at 11 a.m.
Blair Oaks did run in several preliminaries Friday.
The Falcons qualified for two events out of six.
The 4x200-meter relay team, which consists of Chase Duren, Dominic Jamerson, Ashton Maasen and Cole Bisges, qualified seventh with a time of 1:31.28. Grandview is the top seed with a time of 1:28.73.
Duren qualified seventh in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 40.40. Cassville's Cody Frana is the top seed with a time of 39.76. Duren also competed in the 110-meter hurdles, but did not advance to today's final after finishing 10th with a time of 15.82.
Jamerson didn't qualify in the 100-meter dash, taking 11th with a time of 11.48.
Blair Oaks didn't qualify in the 4x100-meter relay, taking 11th with a time of 44.36. The team consisted of Duren, Jamerson, Maasen and Peyton Wilde.
The Falcons also didn't qualify in the 4x400-meter dash, taking 14th with a time of 3:34.12. The team consisted of Caleb Bischoff, Chance Cumpton, Maasen and Jacob Prenger.
The Lady Falcons competed in one event Friday, finishing 15th in the 4x100-meter relay preliminaries with a time of 51.88. Abbey Eskens, Clark, Darian Werdehausen and Michaella Forck made up the squad.
