Man placed on probation after traffic stop

A Holts Summit man was placed on five years supervised probation after pleading guilty to two counts of distribution of controlled substance after a Cole County deputy pulled over his vehicle in May 2012 and found methamphetamine and pills.

Shaun A. Reed, 22, gave consent to a vehicle search. The deputy found two small clear plastic baggies containing a white crystal substance and a digital scale. The substance later tested to be meth. The deputy also found 20 pills in the vehicle identified as prescription drugs.
