ROLLA - Helias ambushed the Bolivar Lady Liberators with 40 shots in their Class 2 District 10 Tournament semifinal Tuesday night.
Out of the 20 the Lady Crusaders put on goal, they were able to put three of them into the net. Helias used a 3-0 victory to advance to the title game Thursday against Rolla.
Jordan Poire, Jane McCurren and Becky Roberts scored for Helias. Taylor Hagenhoff had two assists and Meghan Nappier added one.
Liz Czarnecki got the shutout in goal.
Second-seeded Helias (13-8) will try to topple top-seeded Rolla (16-4), 10-0 winners over Marshfield in the other semifinal Tuesday, for the second time in a matter of weeks. Helias dominated in a 3-0 victory May 7 at the 179 Soccer Park.
