In an effort to assist local businesses become more accessible to consumers, the Jefferson City News Tribune launched a digital division this month.
Front Page Digital aims to improve the web presence of Central Missouri businesses through a variety of web-based product offerings.
Jane Haslag, News Tribune marketing director, explained the need for such a service.
"According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 75 percent of U.S. businesses don't have websites. And many business owners don't realize that Google, Bing and Yahoo are the new Yellow Pages. We want to offer these small- to medium-sized businesses an affordable avenue to be found by potential consumers online."
