Eye to try out for U.S. team

Missouri sophomore guard Morgan Eye has been invited to try out for Team USA at the World University Games.

Eye is one of 31 athletes who was invited to try out, with 12 making the team.

"I'm extremely honored for the opportunity to get to compete among the most elite athletes in the nation," Eye said in a release from the school. "I hope to be able to represent the University of Missouri in the best way."

Tryouts take place May 16-19 in Colorado Springs, with games to begin July 8 in Kazan, Russia.

Eye averaged 12.2 points per game last season and was a 3-point specialist, averaging 3.65 per game.
