Helias 14, Sedalia S-C 4

SEDALIA - The Helias Crusaders wrapped up the regular season Thursday with a 14-4 victory in five innings against the Sedalia Smith-Cotton Tigers.

Alex Barton racked up two hits and three RBI, while Joe Reinkemeyer added two hits and two RBI. Jared Bentlage chipped in with two hits, while Todd Buschjost and Brock Gerstner had two RBI each.

Cole Distler threw a complete game to get the win, allowing just two hits. Only one of the runs was earned and he struck out three.

Helias (15-4) is the No. 2 seed in the upcoming Class 5 District 9 Tournament at Vivion Field. The Crusaders will have a first-round bye in the six-team event and will face either Jefferson City or Camdenton at 6:30 p.m. Monday.
