Salvation Army hosting camps

The Salvation Army is hosting several camps this summer at Camp Mihaska near Bourbon.

The camps include a Kids' Camp for ages 6-9 from June 11-14; Discovery Camp for developing personal and social skills in at-risk youths for ages 9-16 from June 17-20; Family Camp for single and married parents and their children up to age 16 from July 8-12; Teen Camp for ages 13-17 from July 15-19; and Tween Camp for ages 10-12 from July 22-26.

Camp Mihaska features ropes courses, a swimming pool, exploring and trailblazing opportunities, creek walking, boating, paintball and other activities.

The cost is $10 per person and includes transportation. Applicants must be income eligible. Each camper must complete an application that includes a copy of the camper's health insurance card and immunization record. Applications are available at the Salvation Army, 927 Jefferson St., from 9 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
