A barbecue on Thursday, April 4, will support Art Schobey, who recently was diagnosed with rapidly growing pancreatic cancer with little chance of successful treatment.
Schobey has been a driver at Heisinger and St. Joseph's Bluffs, taking residents shopping, to appointments or to evening and weekend special events.
The facility's plant operation crew will host the fundraiser from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursday at 1002 W. Main St., in the second floor courtyard.
Chicken or pork steak meals with baked beans and cole slaw will be $8. Free delivery will be offered for orders of five or more.
