Tigers romp to win

COLUMBIA, MO. - Missouri's bats came alive Wednesday afternoon.

The Tigers jumped out to an 8-0 lead and rolled past Nebraska-Omaha 11-4 at Taylor Stadium.

Missouri outhit UNO 16-8 and took advantage of four Mavericks' errors to improve to 9-12 on the season.

Missouri got a run in the second, two in the fourth and broke the game open with four runs in the sixth thanks to a two-run double by Dylan Kelly.

UNO cut Missouri's lead to 8-4 in the eighth before the Tigers pulled away with three runs in the bottom of the inning.

Kendall Keeton had three hits for the Tigers while Dillon Everett and Keaton Steele had two hits and three RBI each.

Griffin Goodrich got the win as seven Missouri pitchers took to the mound. Goodrich allowed just one baserunner in three innings. Tyler Fox took the loss for UNO (5-12), allowing one run on three hits in two innings.

Missouri returns to action for a three-game home series beginning Friday against LSU. LSU is 23-2 overall and is ranked second in the National College Baseball Writers Association poll.
