Missouri women fall to Eastern Illinois in WNIT

COLUMBIA - The Missouri Tigers were held scoreless in the final 4:18 of the game Wednesday night as the Eastern Illinois Panthers rallied to take a 60-58 victory in the opening round of the Women's NIT at Mizzou Arena.

A layup by Sydney Crafton gave the Tigers a 58-52 advantage before the Panthers closed the game with an 8-0 run to get the win. A jumper by Ta'Kenya Nixon with :19 remaining gave the Panthers a two-point lead. Missouri then turned it over in the final seconds.

Crafton (Jefferson City High School) and Bri Kulas finished with 12 points each to pace the Tigers, who finish the season at 17-15.

Nixon had a game-high 27 points for the Panthers (20-11).
