The Jefferson City Jays tennis team couldn't have asked for a much better start.
The Jays opened their 2013 season with a 9-0 sweep of Rolla on Wednesday.
Singles winners were Sam Johnson (6-0, 6-0), David Clausen (6-0, 6-0), David Steinmeyer (6-2, 6-0), Spencer Bone (6-1, 6-1), Isaac Roling (6-1, 6-0) and Rex Michitsch (6-0, 6-0).
Doubles winners were Johnson and Clausen (10-2), Steinmeyer and Roling (10-3) and Bone and Michitsch (10-7).
Jefferson City (1-0) hosts Camdenton on Tuesday.
