COLUMBIA - Ehren Earleywine picked up his 300th victory as Missouri's head softball coach Wednesday as the Tigers swept a doubleheader from Evansville.

Missouri (12-2, ranked No. 8) won by scores of 3-1 and 4-3 to help Earleywine, a Jefferson City native, reach the milestone in his seventh season with the Tigers.

In the opener, Nicole Hudson hit a two-run home run to key the victory. It was her seventh blast of the season.

Chelsea Thomas went the distance to get the win, striking out 10 and allowing just two hits.

In the nightcap, Missouri scored three times in the bottom of the sixth inning to pick up the victory.

Kelsea Roth had a solo home run for the Tigers, her seventh of the year.

Hudson was the winner in the circle, allowing eight hits and two walks while striking out six.

Missouri will play its first Southeastern Conference road series this weekend, heading to Mississippi. The Tigers and Rebels will play single games Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
