Texas A&M women outhit Missouri

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Missouri pitcher Chelsea Thomas didn't have her best stuff Saturday. It was good enough to keep Missouri in the game, until the sixth inning.

Texas A&M exploded for eight runs against Missouri in the sixth inning as the fifth-ranked Tigers dropped an 11-3 decision in six innings to the seventh-ranked Aggies at University Field.

The Aggies led 3-2 heading into the sixth before really getting to Thomas and every other pitcher Missouri threw out there.

Thomas allowed five runs (four earned) and seven hits in five innings. Missouri's relievers allowed the final three runs as Missouri went down without much trouble in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Texas A&M outhit Missouri 12-7 and both teams committed three errors.

Kelsea Roth and Mackenzie Sykes homered for Missouri. Jenna Marston and Sykes had two hits for Missouri.

Missouri (10-2, 1-1 Southeastern Conference) and Texas A&M (23-2, 1-1 SEC) play again Sunday in the rubber game at noon.
