A Heritage Multimedia Contest has been added to the Historic City of Jefferson's annual art and essay contests to celebrate May as Historic Preservation Month.
The ongoing contests are designed to build interest in local historic buildings, neighborhoods and events.
Contestants will be divided into two age groups - grades 9-12 and grades 6-8.
Cash prizes will be awarded.
The Heritage Art Contest deadline is May 6 for older contestants and May 3 for younger. The Heritage Essay Contest deadline is May 1 for both age groups. The Heritage Multi-media Contest deadline is April 30.
