A Henley man is facing several charges in connection with a sexual assault case.
Court documents show Bradley Luebbering, 39, is charged with one count of forcible rape, two counts of forcible sodomy, one count of second-degree domestic assault and one count of third-degree domestic assault.
A Cole County Sheriff's Department probable cause statement shows the incident was reported in the 12400 block of Sommerer Road, just before 2 a.m. Sunday.
The woman told investigators that Luebbering forced her into a bathroom around 8 p.m. Saturday. She said he covered her mouth while also choking her in an effort to keep young children in the home from hearing her scream.
Investigators noted she did have marks and bruising around her neck and abrasions inside her mouth.
The woman said Luebbering then sexually assaulted her. During the assault, the woman said she yelled to one of the children to get help. When the children were able to get to the door, she said they yelled at Luebbering to "let her go."
The woman said she eventually gave up and for a brief time "blacked out."
Luebbering did eventually stop after two of the children forced open the bathroom door and saw Luebbering push the woman into the toilet, damaging the seat.
The woman was found to have numerous marks and bruising on both arms, upper back, hips, legs and feet that would be consistent with what she told investigators.
On Monday morning, deputies arrested Luebbering and obtained a search warrant for his residence.
They found numerous bloodied wipes and other paper products in the trash can of the bathroom where the attack occurred. Several blood droplets were found throughout the bathroom in the sink, the inside door frame and on the floor.
