CAMDENTON, Mo. (AP) - State education officials are investigating allegations of cheating on annual state testing given to students at Camdenton Middle School.
The Lake Sun Leader reports (http://bit.ly/14JyMQR ) Superintendent Tim Hadfield notified staff members in a letter last week about the investigation. Hadfield says the allegations include that a teacher signaled students about wrong answers and untrained administrators oversaw the Missouri Assessment Program, or MAP, tests.
Other violations are that students might have been given extra time on the tests and testing protocols were not followed. The district did not say what testing subject was involved.
A teacher and administrator at the school have been placed on leave.
The state could sanction the district if the allegations are proven, which might affect the middle school's accreditation.
