St. Mary's Health Center Auxiliary will host the 56th annual Ice Cream Social on Wednesday at the St. Joseph Cathedral Undercroft, 2215 W. Main St.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., covering lunch and dinner for dine-in or carry-out. St. Mary's staff and volunteers will serve homemade cake topped with Central Dairy ice cream. Grilled bratwursts, chicken breasts, hamburgers, hot dogs and tossed salads will be served, along with side dishes and drinks.
The event also includes booths by Country Store, Treasures From the Attic, Kids Korner and Book Nook; a silent auction, including gift baskets donated by various St. Mary's departments and local businesses; and a raffle for a garden bouquet quilt crafted by the Auxiliary's Busy Fingers Quilters.
"This is a perfect time to share a meal with friends and family," said Joann Groner, chair of the event. "What better way to enjoy an afternoon than with great food and fun, while helping to support a very worthy cause?"
Proceeds of the event benefit St. Mary's Auxiliary to help purchase new equipment and technology to enhance patient care at St. Mary's Health Center.
