Laurence Bowers to play in Israel

Former Missouri forward Laurence Bowers has found a home in professional basketball.

Bowers signed a contract Thursday with Hapoel Holon of the Israeli Basketball League. He announced the news on Twitter.

Bowers played on the Memphis Grizzlies summer league team where he averaged 4.3 points per game in 11.5 minutes.

He overcame knee injuries at Missouri to help lead the Tigers to the NCAA Tournament in each of his four seasons. He averaged 14 points and six rebounds per game in his senior season.
