Three injured in Morgan County wreck

Two Stover women and an Iowa man were injured in a one-vehicle wreck early Sunday morning in Morgan County.

The Missouri Highway Patrol said Michael G. Moore, 59, Stover, was eastbound on Missouri 52, about .3 miles west of Rt. AA at about 3:45 a.m. when he lost control of his vehicle on a curve. He overcorrected, returning the vehicle to the road. The vehicle slid off the left side, struck a ditch and overturned, striking a fence and a large tree.

Moore, who was not listed as injured, was wearing a seat belt.

Passenger Sheryl A. Taylor, 62, Stover, was seriously injured and taken to University Hospital by helicopter. She was wearing a seat belt.

Passenger Heather E. Slaughter, 13, sustained moderate injuries. Passenger Bruce L. Moore, 25 of Vinton, Iowa, had minor injuries. Both were taken to Lake Regional Hospital, and neither was wearing a seat belt.
