BizBeat: Custom Screen expands, moves

Custom Screen Printing & Embroidery has expanded and moved.

The business is now at 1307 Creek Trail Drive, just across the street and to the right from the previous location.

"We needed more space to get all our facility under one roof," said owner Jeff DeLong. "We now have viewing windows so people can see the production from the showroom. We're trying to make it a little more user-friendly for the customer."

He said the business expanded its showroom from 450 square feet to 1,800 square feet and expanded the floor space from 5,400 square feet to 10,000 square feet.

The business primarily decorates and personalizes clothing for businesses and organizations using screen printing and embroidery. Customers range from churches to Little League teams.

DeLong said the business is also planning in the next couple months to start a retail section for novelty and spirit wear, allowing customers to personalize novelty items such as "No. 1 Dad" T-shirts. It will also include Christian-based items, and DeLong said they're in the process of putting together a catalog for the new offerings.
