Nixons receive guests at Mo. Governor's Mansion

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (AP) - Well-wishers waited about 20 minutes to greet Gov. Jay Nixon and Georganne (jorj-an) Nixon in a reception line at the Missouri Governor's Mansion.

The Nixons were receiving guests roughly an hour after the Democratic governor officially started his second term Monday. The Governor's Mansion is a couple of blocks from the state Capitol.

Several people waiting in the line say they have not been deterred by the freezing temperatures. One man joked that one reason for the line is that the governor spends a long time talking to each guest.
