Oprah interview another chapter in Armstrong's act

Sports Commentary

It appears later this week some light will be shed on whether or not Lance Armstrong's life is everything he's had the public believe for the past 15 years, or whether or not it's been nothing more than an act created in some laboratory.

With reports saying the former cyclist is likely to come clean about his use of performance enhancing drugs this week, he has at least one final chapter to write: His confession.

60 Minutes or Dr. Phil? 20-20 or Katie Couric? Dateline or Bob Costas?

Armstrong has never been short on his options when it has come to anything.

So when it came time to choose who he would have his first public interview following his decision to stop fighting performance enhancing drug accusations, there was only one choice: Oprah.

Oprah seems more likely to give Armstrong a new car than question him about years of cheating and deception.
