The deadline for proposals for a new Jefferson City conference center is drawing near, and no proposals have been submitted yet.
City Administrator Nathan Nickolaus said it's common to receive responses only in the last few days before the deadline, which is set for Jan. 31. The concept calls for a hotelier-owned facility with no city-provided operations subsidy.
