Lincoln women, men fall

KIRKSVILLE - The Lincoln women just couldn't stop the bleeding.

Ahead 39-35 with 14:49 to go in the contest, the Blue Tigers allowed the Truman State Bulldogs to go on a 24-0 run over the next 8:48 of game time.

That prolonged scoring drought equaled a 71-53 loss for Lincoln on Thursday night.

Lincoln (6-5, 1-2 Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association) hosts Southwest Baptist at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

A poor second half sealed the Lincoln men's fate Thursday night.

Tied at 32 at halftime, Truman State outscored Lincoln 52-32 in the final 20 minutes as the Blue Tigers dropped an 84-64 decision.

Lincoln (2-11, 1-2 MIAA) hosts Southwest Baptist at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.
