The letter in the Feb. 13 edition surprised me. The Republicans stood up to the Democrats and the majority won.
It's hard to believe the few that were offended didn't get their way. Cigarettes are legal and a person should be able to use a legal product anywhere as long as they can afford it. If they were dispensing medical marijuana, Medicaid would probably be paying for it and it would be fine if I'm paying.
It seems anymore if something is legal - smoking, eating, or pick something - then make it where you can't do it anywhere. Soon people will go into a restaurant and ask for the no perfume, loud talking, children or cursing section. That means stay home.
I applaud the Republicans. I may be visiting your office and I don't smoke.
