LAQUEY - The Vienna Eagles advanced to the title game of the Class 2 District 9 Tournament with a 71-67 overtime victory Wednesday night against Richland.
With the win, third-seeded Vienna (19-7) advances to take on top-seeded Iberia in the title game at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Richland led 21-13 after one quarter. Vienna rallied to cut the deficit to 31-24 at the half and 43-41 at the end of three quarters. It was tied at 62 at the end of regulation.
Conner Backues led three Eagles in double figures with 21 points. Ethan Farrow added 18, while Justin Bull totaled 10.
Iberia advanced with a 73-49 victory against Newburg in Wednesday's first semifinal.
