MONMOUTH, Ill. - Matthew Schaefer had a big day for Truman State in Saturday's Fighting Scot Indoor Invitational hosted by Monmouth College on Saturday.
Schaefer (Helias High School) won the 800-meter run with a time of 1:56.08 and was also part of the Bulldogs' 4x400-meter relay team that took first in 3:24.78.
Also for Truman, Matthew LaPointe (Jefferson City High School) took fifth in the men's pole vault (14-1 1/4) and Beth Keene (Southern Boone High School) was sixth in the women's triple jump (35-2).
