Effective Friday, Feb. 15, the Jefferson City Animal Shelter at Hyde Park will temporarily alter the hours of animal adoption.
The temporary hours are from noon-4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
Portions of the floor in the newly constructed shelter were coming loose, and crews will be repairing the floors under warranty. The work is expected to last about four weeks.
Normal adoption hours will resume upon completion of the construction work.
