Weather spotter's class on tap

A severe weather spotter's class is being offered again this year.

The guest speaker and instructor will be James Kramper from the St. Louis office of the National Weather Service. Bill Farr, Cole County/Jefferson City emergency management coordinator, will host the event.

The class will be at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 28 at the Jefferson City Police Department training room.

There is no cost for the class. Participants will learn the conditions of severe weather and weather-related incidents and how to be more aware of tornadoes and thunderstorm activities.

The class size is limited to 100 people.
