ST. ALBANS - A strong defensive effort equaled a win for Calvary Lutheran.
The Lions held the Fulton School at St. Albans to just five points in the second half of a 60-28 victory Tuesday.
St. Albans went up 14-11 after one quarter before Calvary responded to take a 35-23 lead into halftime. The Lions then led 50-25 after three periods.
Loren Schlichting had a monster game for Calvary, scoring 25 points and grabbing 15 rebounds. Brad MacLaughlin added 15 points and hit a trio of 3-pointers.
Calvary (3-15) hosts Malta Bend on Friday for Homecoming.
