2 indicted for murder by grand jury

Two men charged in a December 2012 murder in Jefferson City were among those indicted this week by the Cole County Grand Jury.

The indictments by the jury show they felt there was enough probable cause to allow these cases to go on to the circuit court division for possible trial.

Justin Beasley, 20, of 609 Mulberry St., is charged with second-degree murder, first-degree robbery and armed criminal action.

St. Louis resident Calvin Hutson, 35, is charged with second-degree murder, first-degree robbery, armed criminal action and unlawful possession of a firearm.

The two are believed to have been involved in the killing of Andre Hudson, 41, Holts Summit, who was found dead in the back seat of a vehicle driven by Beasley in the 200 block of West Schroeder Way.

In interviews with police, Beasley said he and Hutson had arranged a narcotics deal with Hudson and during the transaction Hutson and Hudson got into a confrontation where gunshots were fired.
