Your Opinion: Return to Ten Commandments

Dear Editor:

I believe it's time to bring back the Ten Commandments. They should be posted in every classroom, court house, capital building and public square in the United States.

We as a nation have strayed so far from the rules God gave to Moses that our country is in complete and utter chaos and decline.

Our rules of right and wrong come from God not from President Obama.

We owe our allegiance to God not to a president or a party who are demanding that we do evil that is against the Fifth Commandment, "Thou shalt not kill."

President Obama is not our God. He has no right to make us citizens pay for drugs and contraceptives that we know kills a baby in the womb.

President Obama tells us lies about our health care. President Obama tells us it's okay to "Covet Your Neighbors Goods" by taking from people who refuse to work and collect food stamps and a welfare check.

President Obama is not our God.

The commandments tell us to "Love our Neighbor as we Love Ourself." If we love ourselves we don't lie, cheat, rape, kill and abuse our neighbor.

The Ten Commandments were given to us by God to help us live peacefully with our fellow men.

It saddens my heart to read about all the domestic violence and child abuse in our daily paper.

The government and President Obama should stay out of our relationship with our God and our doctor.

I have my God and I like my doctor and the Constitution and the commandments guarantee me that right and that freedom.

No one, not even a president, has the right to make you do something against your conscience that you believe to be evil.

The conscience of a nation does have great consequences. It invades the very core of how a people act, think and govern and treat one another.
