Freeburg home damaged in fire

American Red Cross Heart of Missouri Chapter volunteers are assisting a two-member Freeburg family whose home was damaged by fire.

The Red Cross received a call from Osage County dispatch about 1:45 a.m. Monday requesting assistance for the family who lived on Osage Quarry Lane in rural Freeburg.

Volunteers from Jefferson City dispatched to the scene and met with the clients. The Red Cross provided financial assistance for the clients to meet their immediate emergency needs with the purchase of food and clothing.

Clients also received comfort kits, which contains personal hygiene items. They are staying with relatives.
